The BDXGT was developed as a result of a multitude of track date testing’s. Originally built by at the request of driving clients, the best blend of suppliers was selected. Some were kept; some were replaced by testing results, the end result being a high value vehicle with all the focus on performance for the dollar.
Unlike any other performance tuner or vehicle manufacture, our cars come with adjustability and one-on-one instruction on how to adjusting and specific changes will affect the car. Picture a car that will be so very comfortable that other than a more aggressive stance, purpose look, and corner load capacity, you won’t have to live with the hard ride normally associated with high cornering capacity.
We also think about longevity. Manufacturers spend thousands of engineering, computer and man hours to release vehicles that have reliability and serviceability. Most tuners don’t think that way. There are plenty of known companies that will sell you horsepower adding parts. How many sell what the impact will be to the entire vehicle? We think about that, and sell balance in a car that can withstand years of track and commuter use. When we can, we reduce weight and inertial loads to help supporting parts last longer.
We are not a part, we are a package - a performance car combined with a knowledgeable, trained, performance car driver/owner. Could that be the start of something new? Something many other manufactures may end up dreading. We think it is something whose time has come, the complete package. The BDXGT Mustang Package
1. Improved grip- Moving from a 235/55 17” tire package to a 275/40 18” tire package mounted on very light, “Konig Beyond” wheels designed with brake clearance and air flow. No rubbing of tires have ever been detected on extreme loads on racetrack testing.
2. Lowered roll centers- With the BDX package the front and rear roll centers are modified. With a live rear axle and independent front, maximum lowering is not optimal for balanced handling. We will show and explain the impacts and help you tune your car for your own personal needs.
3. Improved acceleration- The Ford Mustang has been tested by multiple magazines to accelerate from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. We have improved on that, but what we really focus on is the acceleration at all speeds that can happen on the track and in everyday driving. Acceleration is a combination of tire grip, weight transfer, rotational mass, as well as engine power output. We address all these areas in our package.
4. Improved braking- There are really two areas of measurement for applications in braking. Cold stopping distance (important for street applications) and repeated stopping performance (important for track and hard driving use). We replace the front Ford 12” assembly with a 13” heavy duty light weight 6 piston application. This not only improves the clamping force of the front brakes, but allows for much better venting of the heat that heavy braking creates. Surprising is the rotational mass loss with this system. We were able to reduce the rotational mass by over 20 lbs with this system. The benefits of this weight loss are to numerous to list here. Talk to us for details.
5. Low cost of operation- This is a Ford Mustang based vehicle. Although the performance capacities exceed most sports cars costing over twice the price, we wanted to maintain an exceptional value in the entire ownership experience. This means long lasting parts and low cost of replacement of maintenance items. We do not employ exotic materials or rare parts, just good fundamentals. Our suppliers are chosen for quality of their product and company stability.
6. Reduced spinning mass- It takes energy to move a certain mass to a certain velocity; it also takes energy to have it decelerate and change direction. This basic fundamental of physics is largely overlooked by the Mustang tuner community.
You won’t see a 22” 35lb wheels on a BDX Mustang added to cost driven oversized tires, no 30lb non wind tunnel tested body parts. You will see reductions in driveline mass, spinning mass in the wheel package, brake package and even in the exhaust. All this reduces the forces needed to improve the acceleration and braking. It can also improve the ride quality with lower unsprung weight, throttle response and drivability while lowering the rotating mass in the driveline. Guess what, it can help wear too.
7. Tunable suspension- The basis for what we do, give the customer the ability to change the cars feel. This may sound basic, but it is a much more expensive parts process, a much longer development process, and it takes a dealer that is in combination with a performance driving school to pull this off. You do not have to live with someone else’s idea of what a car should feel like; you can tailor the ride, bite and overall grip to what you want.

8. Better driver performance- Long before the BDX Mustang was born, there was the “Barber Driving Experience” we will continue to be the home of the driving enthusiast. Two days with an instructor are included with the purchase of a turn key BDX Mustang. Over that period the client will receive instruction in basic vehicle dynamics, tire patch management, driving line, proper seating and eye placement, and on day two adjustment of the car. Don’t forget about 4 hours of on track high speed laps in your new performance vehicle. Customers must be in good health, sign appropriate waivers, and pay appropriate track rental fees. You will leave with more ability and knowledge than most drivers ever obtain during their driving careers.
